How We Got Started

During the 2016 refugee crisis, 28,000 people were forcibly displaced from their homes — every single day. Mike and Suzanne Hall of Salt Lake City, Utah, felt called to help, so they established The Beautiful Heart Foundation to assist individuals and families who were caught in the middle of these devastating events.

While early initiatives directly supported refugees, the foundation has since grown to support causes of all shapes and sizes. One vision unites the foundation’s current efforts: to lift hearts and change lives.

The Beautiful Heart Foundation now supports refugee resettlement and reunification, arts and music education, LGBTQ+ initiatives, and ocean preservation. We welcome the opportunity to support worthwhile causes and encourage individuals, grant seekers, and program officers to contact us regarding collaboration and funding opportunities.

To better accomplish its mission throughout the world, The Beautiful Heart Foundation also welcomes donations. Unlike many non-profit organizations, our funding structure allows for 100% of donations to directly support people and programs — not operating expenses.

Thank you for visiting the Beautiful Heart Foundation — lifting hearts and changing lives since 2016.
